Our rehoming programme is open to anyone who wishes to home a horse coming out of training. Please refer to "Do you have a horse to rehome".
We regularly home horses for RoR, the BHA and Shadwell Stud as well as via trainers and individual owners.

Shadwell Stud [shadwellstud.com]

“Shadwell are proud to have had a longstanding relationship with Fred and Rowena from A Life After Racing. The work they do is not only vital to the thoroughbred rehoming work we do here here at Shadwell, but also to the wider industry.

The official accreditation that they have recently been awarded is testament to the dedication and passion that they have for the ongoing welfare and retraining of the racehorse, entering into the next phase of its life.

We look forward to continuing our relationship with Fred and Rowena and following the success that our horses have had in their hands”.

"Shadwell are committed to ensuring the best possible aftercare for the horses coming out of training and the homing programme provided by Fred and Rowena ticks all the boxes.  Their knowledge and experience of the thoroughbred, its training and re-training as well as the industry that surrounds it, coupled with the strict homing criteria of “A Life After Racing” sees our horses placed in the best possible homes to continue their non-racing lives.

Fred and Rowena are well-deserved of the industry Accreditation they have received and we are pleased to have such a positive relationship with them".

British Horseracing Authority: CRS Unit [britishhorseracing.com]

"Lifelong care and the welfare of racehorses is integral to the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) and this is fully endorsed by the BHA Centre for Racehorse Studies (CRS) which is based at the British Racing School in Newmarket.

Carol Clarkson Vet Administrator, BHAHorses that come to us spend a limited time, 2-3 years, here as part of our research programme and we then look to rehome them, still as young horses. Fred and Rowena have effectively rehomed a large number of horses for us from happy hackers to competition horses, and keep us provided with information on their continued well being. Their record of matching horses to individuals is second to none and it is a pleasure to see our horses go on to loving homes and fulfilling lives.

Their accreditation award by RoR is richly deserved: we have used other rehoming centres in the past but none match the standard of A Life After Racing. We know we can be comfortable that the horses are monitored and supported in their new homes, and our staff love to receive feedback on their progress."
