Sending a horse to Rehoming Racehorses

If you have a question that is not covered under "Do you have a horse to rehome" or in these FAQs please do not hesitate contact us either by telephone or email.

How do I apply for you to take my horse?

Please either call or email so that we can advise of the process and establish whether we are the best option for you and your horse.

Do you have an entry criteria?
  • We will accept horses regardless of their age.
  • We will require the veterinary history
  • Horses must be fully vaccinated and have had a strangles test
  • There is a gifting fee payable prior to arrival

Do you collect horses?

No we do not.  It is your responsibility to make transportation arrangements.

Do you accept horses that cannot be ridden?

We do not take horses that cannot be ridden. We are not a sanctuary/retirement home.

If you take a horse and find it not to be sound what happens to it?

If we decide that a horse is not suitable for riding whether due to behaviour and/or physical limitations, provided the horse is "field-comfortable" we will find a suitable companion home.

What happens to horses you cannot rehome?

Horses remain with us for as long as it takes to secure the right home.

Do you ever sell any horses?

Absolutely not. Once a monetary transaction takes place we can no longer guarantee the future health and well-being of a horse..

Do you have a euthanasia policy?

If a horse is found to have a debilitating ailment or injury which will cause distress and/or discomfort as a field companion then under welfare grounds we shall say goodbye.
