As it is just not practicable for us to be able to conduct every home check ourselves across the country we have started to appoint Regional Rehoming Inspectors to act on our behalf to cover the more far-flung areas of the country. We will however do our absolute best to catch up with everyone in person where ever they may be.

That one of the clauses of our Rehoming Agreement is the requirement to maintain regular contact with us in the main ensures that all well for both horse and rehomer and whilst we are mindful that unforeseen circumstances can unexpectedly arise, our priority will always be the welfare both physical and psychological of the horses we rehome.  So by carrying out periodic visual checks we can be assured that the horses are fit and well. 

The persons fulfilling the roles are knowledgeable and experienced, as well as being friends of long-standing, with the same ethos as ourselves with regards to the management and welfare of horses. 

Meet our West Midlands Regional Inspector - Lynda Steele

Lynda is a keen supporter of organisations which provide an alternative life for horses after racing so it was only logical to ask her to work with us.  Having ridden for most of her life and living in Northeast Wales it comes as no surprise that Lynda enjoys nothing more than riding out in the wonderful countryside that surrounds her as well as competing at local shows. Lynda is the fortunate position of being able to keep her horses at home but as a working lady knows too well the work this involves and hence the importance of a sound management routine in order to keep her horses happy and healthy.

Meet our Southeast Regional Inspector - Maddi Burchell

 
Maddi Burchell is a Dressage Rider, BD Accredited Coach and an RoR Accredited Trainer.; she also specialises in equine Rehabilitation. Maddi has worked, trained and competed both in the UK and in Europe and has ridden to Grand Prix. Trained by trained Carl Hester Maddi currently has a horse at Small Tour Level. Maddi has long enjoyed working with ex race horses, having a strong belief that race horses can be successfully retrained to go on and have long careers in other spheres. 

Meet our Northwest Regional Inspector - Jane Chadwick

Since being a young girl Jane favoured the thoroughbred above all the other horses in her horsey books and magazines.  Into adulthood Jane never lost her passion for these horses and so it stood to reason that she would one day re-home one of her own; and this she has done namely the wonderful "Secure Cloud" actually rehomed from ourselves, so very apt that Jane has kindly areed to help monitor our rehomed horses in the Northwest of the country.

Jane lives in Bolton with her partner, Tom, and is a Director at a large professional services firm.
