Can anyone apply to rehome from you?

No they cannot.  There must be a connection with you through a mutually known third party.  This policy better ensures that we make the correct homing choices for both yourself and the horse as we aim to home for life. 

Do you have a minimum age for persons rehoming?

We do not rehome to anyone under the age of 16 years. Persons under 18 years must have parental consent, it being a parent who must sign the Homing Agreement.

If I rehome a mare can I breed from her?

We have no objections to mares being put in foal but we do impose an age limit so that these horses are not viewed as just being a "commercial commodity".

Do you rehome Stallions?

No, we would not ever rehome a stallion under any circumstances

Would I be allowed to buy the horse I rehome?

No you would not. We do not sell any horse under any circumstances. Our aim is to find homes for life and under the Terms of the Rehoming Agreement the horse is "yours" in every respect in exactly the same way as if you had purchased it. We can only remove it from you under proven welfare grounds. 

What happens if I can no longer keep the horse I rehome?

• you should notify us immediately
• you will be required to fully care for the horse until an alternative home can be found as we are not always in a position to take horses back straightaway; you should expect to continue to provide proper care and management for at least one month from notification. However if the position is critical you should advise so that we can make alternative arrangements..
• you will bear the return transportation costs 

Is there a fee payable?

• We do not charge a rehoming fee
• Some people elect to make a donation either on a monthly basis or as a one-off payment

What happens with regards to a Horse's Passport?

• We will ensure that passport change is made via Weatherbys who will then forward the passport to yo.
